Noboru Nakatani

Noboru Nakatani serves as Executive Director for Global Complex  at Interpol. He is responsible for organising, coordinating IT services  and ensuring information security across the organisation and provides advice  to the Secretary General in the top management of IT related issues, including  information security incident responses.
Prior to this, he was Assistant Director of the Financial and High Tech  Crime Sub-Directorate responsible for global investigative coordination of fight  against the financial crime, cyber crime and money laundering and terrorist  financing. 
He is a Japanese Seconded Officer and Senior Superintendent of Police in  the National Police
  Agency of Japan (NPA). Prior to the Secondment to Interpol, he was the  Assistant Director for Cyber Crime Division within the NPA. 
He joined the NPA after working at Japan’s top commercial bank. He has served  as the Director of Foreign Affairs Division of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Headquarters,  where he was in charge of investigating counter-terrorism cases. He also served  as the Executive Officer to the Minister of State, the Chairperson of the  National Public Safety Commission.
He graduated from KEIO University, Japan, with Bachelor’s in Law and  Politics in 1991 and was the Visiting Fellow at the Vanderbilt Institute of Public  Policy Studies, Vanderbilt University, USA.
